SAVECats is always looking for volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of community cats. We hope you will join us!
Opportunities:
TNR Practitioner:
- ability to conduct a trapping project from start to finish
- coordinates surgery appointments, equipment rental, pre and post recovery space, transportation, and volunteers
Mediator:
- helps resolve conflicts between neighbors, HOA associations, landlords, etc. by facilitating negotiation and dialogue between disputing parties
Outreach:
- helps educate residents about community cats, TNR, and the Community Cat Bill
- neighborhood canvassing - talking to residents, distributing literature, placing door hangers, etc.
Trapper:
- assists TNR practitioner on the day of trapping - helps set up traps, monitor traps, and help load cats into vehicle
Trainer:
- helps train other volunteers and residents on community cats and TNR
Recovery Holder:
- provides a temperature-controlled space to house cats before and after surgery
- ability to monitor cats and provide food and water after surgery
Transportation:
- provides transportation to and from trapping site to surgery clinic and/or recovery space
Administrative/Office:
- help with office tasks such as data entry and other office work
- can be done remotely
Clinic Volunteer:
- provide support to the Spay Spa & Neuter Nook clinic
